On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the commanding officer's cabin between 27½ and 30½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to starboard showing two armchairs in front of the electric fire. Above the fire is a framed copy of an engraving by Johannes Kip titled 'Flaxley the seat of Mrs Bovey' and dated 1712. A Thermotank air conditioning unit is in the forward starboard corner above a dropleaf table. A wardrobe and cupboard with drawers under are against the ship's side.
