On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 49 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from 60 station showing a fire party locker with an electric motor fan and ventilation trunking above it, the door to the crew's bathroom, emergency cable stowage, the door to the P.Os' mess, a hose stowage and a fire extinguisher, all against the port side of the passageway. The watertight doors at 49 station and 41 station are open. A vertical format negative.
