On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 49 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking to port from 57½ station showing the open door to the crew's bathroom on the left. In the lobby are a transformer, fan starter, air filtration unit, spare cable stowage and a cold water dispenser. The engine room foam inlet is projecting from the deck. An emergency change over switch and connection box, a salvus cupboard, emergency cable stowage and a breaker panel are against the port bulkhead.
