On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 27½ and 31½ stations on 01 deck looking to port from just to starboard of the centreline showing the chart table and the J.U.A. visual display unit for types 277, 293 and 978 radars on the left. A night signal box , a telephone, an electric fire, a microphone, an asdic type 177 range and bearing repeater and an asdic type 176 bearing repeater are against the port bulkhead. A speaking tube and a range and bearing repeater unit bearing the word 'hunter' are on the port side of the forward extension. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
