On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the engine room between 49 and 57 stations on 4 deck looking forward and to starboard from the port side on the middle platform at 51 station showing a telephone control box, three telephones and an acoustic booth. Next to these is the secondary gauge board. The 400 Kw A.C. turbo generator is in the background close to the starboard side of the ship.
