The photographer is in the engine room between 49 and 57 stations on 4 deck looking forward and to starboard from just to starboard of the centreline on the middle platform at 51½ station showing the de-aerator on the left with a board detailing the port and starboard bearings next to it. In the centre is the engineer's desk and the 400 Kw A.C. turbo generator is on the right next to the ship's side.
