On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the C.P.O's. Mess between 16 and 21½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to port from 21 station showing the lounge area with four chairs, a bunk settee, a greatcoat locker, the door to the mess, the curtained opening to the sleeping area, the cleaning gear locker, a games locker and an overcase locker. A notice board, air circulation fan, loudspeaker and clock reading 4.16 are against the aft bulkhead. Coathooks are under the deckhead.
