On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the canteen between 51¾ and 54 stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking forward and to port showing the halved door with a hinged drop-down shelf on the left. Against the forward bulkhead are a three drawer cabinet, a safe, an electric fire, a single pedestal desk with a stool, a notice board, an air circulating fan and storage shelves. On the shelves are bottles of sauce, chutney and salad cream and tins of Heinz soups. Under bulldog clips hanging up are delivery chits and a Naafi wholesale price list.
