On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the boiler room between 41 and 49 stations on 3 - 4 deck on the centreline of the lower platform about 46 station looking to starboard showing the boiler feed regulator control unit in the left foreground. In the centre are two gauges for the F.F.O. (furnace fuel oil) pump suction and discharge and in the top right are two gauges for the F.F.O. heater inlet and outlet. At the top of the picture are two more gauges, one being labelled 'Aux. superheated steam.
