On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the mortar well between 61½ and 71 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 62½ station on the starboard side of the well just ahead of No. 2 Limbo Mk. 10 mortar with No. 1 mortar abaft it. Oil filling hoses are stored next to the mortar mounting. A paravane is in the left foreground and the ship's Mediterranean ladder is stowed abaft it. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay and the tanker Solen (1961) is fitting out astern.
