On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the officers' cooks and stewards mess between 27 and 31 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward showing a settee with bunk above, a refrigerator and a greatcoat locker with a bookshelf fitted the side of it. On the right are six kit lockers with an ironing table and a noticeboard on the end of the stack. A main broadcast loudspeaker is against the forward bulkhead.
