On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 27 and 31 stations on 3 deck looking forward from the port side of the mess showing the stairs leading up to 2 deck. On the port side is the bulkhead of the officers' cooks and stewards mess with a fire extinguisher, four Nu-Swift fire extinguisher cartridges and a bread locker against it. Against the forward bulkhead are dirty boot lockers, greatcoat locker, kit lockers, fuse panel and telephone. Kit lockers are on the right. A vertical format negative.
