The Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959). In the seamen's mess between 68 and 75 stations on 3 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 68 and 75 stations on 3 deck looking aft and to port from the starboard forward corner showing three tables with bench seats. In the foreground are the wooden tops on mess racks. A line of kit lockers runs fore and aft in the centre of the mess and a full height refrigerator is at the end of the line. More kit lockers and an air conditioning unit are against the aft bulkhead and the watertight door in the aft bulkhead leads into the steering gear compartment. Hammock rails are under the deckhead.
