On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck at 40 station looking aft showing the funnel on the left with the emergency conning position and the dinghy mast and sails stowage rack abaft it. The type 944 radar is atop the mainmast. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The tanker Solen (1961) is fitting out astern of the Falmouth (1959).
