On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on 1 deck at 61 station looking aft showing the Limbo Mk. 10 mortar well between 61½ and 71 stations on 2 deck. Oil fuel hoses, the Mediterranean ladder and the stern boom are stowed to starboard of the mortar mounts. Ceremonial lighting booms and a mortar projectile davit are stowed on the starboard end of 1 deck. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay and the tanker Solen (1961) is fitting out astern.
