On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 14¾ and 19 stations on 3 deck looking aft from 15½ station on the port side of the mess showing a table and bench seat in the centre with two settee bunks against the ship's side. The settees are hinged up. Two kit lockers, a bread locker and two cupboards are against the aft bulkhead. On the left are two kit lockers, a greatcoat locker and an electric fire. An open watertight hatch is leading down to the electrical spare gear store on 4 deck.
