On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 68 and 75 stations on 3 deck looking to starboard from the port side at 74½ station showing kit lockers, a fire extinguisher and two Norris Warming Co Ltd air conditioning units against the aft bulkhead. Two mess racks and a large refrigerator are on the left. A hammock stowage bin is in the starboard aft corner. A clock is fixed to a vent trunk under the deckhead. A vertical format negative.
