On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the bosun's store and the lamp and paint store between 2½ and 6 stations on 2 deck looking to port and slightly aft from the starboard side showing the wire mesh door to the lobby on the left. Mild steel shelves are against the aft bulkhead and drums of dark grey paint, coils of rope and pieces of canvas are stored on them. The port chain pipe is in the centre and a steel bench with drawers and cupboards under and cringle bars and a mesh grill above are against the port side of the ship. A steel bench with a cupboard above and a wooden crate are against the forward bulkhead.
