On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the wheelhouse lobby between 29 and 31¼ stations on 1 deck looking aft and to starboard showing the doors to the operations room and the 1st lieutenant's cabin by the stairs leading up to the enclosed bridge on 01 deck. Two fan starter panels are on the left with a stretcher cupboard next to them. On the extreme right is a canvas covered emergency cable stowage and the hatch down to 2 deck has semi-permanent handrails fitted. A vertical format negative.
