On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the asdic hull outfit 15 compartment between 10 and 12½ stations on 4 deck looking aft and to port showing the central column of the type 170B asdic scanner and beyond the unit training panel on the right is the electric dome hoisting winch. Tools, eyebolts, strops and other equipment are fitted to the port side of the ship. The H.O. 15 compartment contains the Type 170B asdic. A vertical format negative.
