On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 68 and 75 stations on 3 deck looking aft and to port from the port side at 69½ station showing three tables with bench seats. A hammock stowage bin is in the port aft corner and an electric fire and litter bin are fixed to it. Three settee bunks are against the port side of the ship and a first aid locker is beneath the forward one. Three bread lockers and another locker are also against the ship's side. Five kit lockers and a Norris Warming Co Ltd air conditioning unit are against the aft bulkhead. Hammock rails are under the deckhead.
