The Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959)

On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the canteen store between 65 and 68 stations on the port side of 4 deck looking forward from 66¾ station showing galvanized shelves with various stores on them. The nearest rack contains Du Maurier cigarettes, Nescafe instant coffee and Dettol. The rack against the forward bulkhead contains Fox's glacier mints, Mackintosh's rolo, Croxley envelopes, Airspeed Mail pads, Fry's cokernut and cardboard boxes of an H.S. Whiteside product that is 'delicious on hot toast'. On the starboard side rack are Mackintosh's Qualtity Street and Fry's Crunchie. A vertical format negative.
