On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 49 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking aft from 49 station showing a Nu-Swift fire extinguisher, four Nu-Swift fire extinguisher cartridges, three breathing apparatus lockers and hoses, a noticeboard, the door to the P.Os mess, two fan starter panels, a transformer, emergency cable stowage brackets, a salvus locker and an emergency change over switch and connection box against the port bulkhead. On the starboard side is the sliding door to the U.C.S.F.I. Amplifier compartment with a litter bin next to it. The watertight door at 61½ station is closed but not clipped. A vertical format negative.
