The photographer is in the engine room between 49 and 57 stations on 4 deck looking forward from the starboard side of the lower platform at 52 station showing the de-aerator on the left and the Laurence Scott & Electromotors Ltd boiler room pump de-aerator control gear against the forward bulkhead with an emergency change over switch and connection box next to it. Emergency cable stowage brackets are above the control gear unit. Stairs up to the middle platform are on the right.
