On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 30⅔ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 33 station showing stairs down to 3 deck, the door of the switchboard room, stairs up to 1 deck, a fuse panel, an emergency connection box and a transformer on the right. A screw-down escape scuttle is in the deck abaft the open watertight door and the 4.5 inch gun bay is at the end of the passage. Two emergency connection boxes and a covered emergency cable stowage are on the left. A vertical format negative.
