On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 24 and 27 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port and slightly aft from 24 station showing the door to the gun bay on the right. Against the 4.5 inch gun bay are a transformer with a fuse panel above it. On the left is a fire party locker, two sets of breathing apparatus, a fire hose fitted with an high pressure nozzle, a curved fire main stand pipe and a watch and station notice board cupboard.
