On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the aft petty officers' mess between 49 and 55¾ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 54 station showing two double settee berth bunk units, three chairs, two bookshelves, an electric fire, a Thermotank air conditioning unit, two loudspeakers, a games locker and a litter bin. The clock over the fireplace is reading 8.29.
