On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 41 and 49 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 47 station showing, on the left, a fuse panel, a fan starter panel, an emergency change over switch and connection box, the door to the provision issue room, an alcove with a foam stand pipe next to the forward bulkhead and the door to the officers' galley. On the right is the galley servery with 6 'Lowerator' plate dispensers in front of it below the roller shutter and a 25 gallon steam kettle next to it. The watertight door at 41 station is closed but not clipped. A vertical format negative.
