On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 49 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking to starboard from 49½ station showing the door to the transmitter room. An engine room supply vent is on the right. Against the forward bulkhead are oil fuel hoses, an emergency connection box, a fire hose and nozzle and an angled fire main stand pipe. Projecting from the deck is a fire foam inlet for the engine room. A vertical format negative.
