On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 49 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking aft and slightly to starboard from 49 station showing, on the starboard side, the sliding door to the U.C.S.F.I. amplifier compartment, a litter bin, a notice board, the door to the canteen, a fire extinguisher, a damage control locker, an engine room exhaust vent and the door to the sick bay. The watertight door at 61½ station is closed but not clipped. A Nu-Swift fire extinguisher, four spare fire extinguisher cartridges and a breathing apparatus cabinet and hose are on the right. A vertical format negative.
