The photographer is in the senior officer's sleeping cabin between 33⅔ and 35¼ stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to port and slightly forward from the bathroom doorway showing a full length mirror on the right. An electric fire, a small shelf, a cupboard, an air circulating fan and an air conditioning unit are against the aft bulkhead. A bunk with drawers under and a bookshelf above are against the port side of the ship. Two chairs are in the cabin. The scuttle cover is clipped up. A vertical format negative.
