On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 41 and 49 stations on 2 deck looking to starboard from 47 station showing the door to the engineers and ordnance workshop. On the left are a Nu-Swift fire extinguisher and four spare cartridges, cans of foam compound, exhaust fan starter panels, a first aid cabinet, and a covered emergency cable stowage. On the right are three starters for fans, a fuse panel, a fire hose and nozzle and an emergency connection box. A vertical format negative.
