On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the C.P.Os' mess between 56½ and 61½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from 59 station on the port side showing two settee bunk units, a folding table and five chairs. Two kit lockers, boot lockers, a mess cleaning gear locker, a Magicoal electric fire, a clock reading 8.46 and a Norris Warming Co Ltd air conditioning unit are against the forward bulkhead. A letter rack and bookshelf are in the starboard forward corner. The scuttle cover is clipped open. Kit lockers are on the extreme left.
