On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 16 and 23 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 19½ station showing the watertight hatch leading down to the seamen's mess on 3 deck. A transformer, telephone, fire main and fire hose basket are against the 4.5 inch gun bay. A fuse panel, the sliding door to the pantry and the drinking water cooler are on the right. The watertight door at 23 station is open.
