On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in No. 1 naval store between 8 and 12½ stations on 3 deck looking aft and to port from the centreline at 10 station. In the foreground is the closed watertight hatch leading down to 4 deck. Aluminium shelves and cabinets of numbered drawers are formed into racks numbered 5, 6 and 7. Electric light bulbs and fluorescent tubes are on shelves 2B and 4B in rack 7.
