On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) alongside the Harland & Wolff Ltd fitting out berth in the Musgrave Channel, Belfast. The photographer is in the admiral's day cabin and dining room at the forward end of 01 deck looking to port and slightly aft showing the large table with seven chairs on either side of it. Three cushioned stools are in front of the electric fire which has cupboards on either side of it. Two cupboards and a sideboard unit, an automatic emergency lantern and an air conditioning unit are also against the aft bulkhead.
