On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) alongside the Harland & Wolff Ltd fitting out berth in the Musgrave Channel, Belfast. The photographer is in the helicopter hangar between 117 and 135 stations on 01 deck looking forward and to starboard from outside the hangar door showing storage space at the forward end on the hangar. Racks for the stowing of spare rotor blades are against the starboard bulkhead. Fire fighting equipment and a work bench fitted with a vice are in an alcove next to the door to the E.M.R. & sonar workshop. A first aid cabinet and a foam fire extinguisher are on the right of the workshop door.
