On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) alongside the Harland & Wolff Ltd fitting out berth in the Musgrave Channel, Belfast. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay and the photographer is looking aft and to port from deck level at 182 station on the starboard side of 2 deck showing the small quarterdeck area. The turntable of the seaslug missile mounting is in the right foreground. Most of the fittings on the quarterdeck are under canvas covers. Berthed astern is the cargo liner Port Melbourne (1955) which is undergoing a refit.
