The photographer is in the main communications office between 66 and 71 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from the port forward corner showing two receiver units above desks on the right and two BR1917 manuals and a pot of Gloy paste are one of the desks. Six B40 receiver units are above desks near the centre of the bulkhead and a sliding door cupboard is under the deckhead. The senior rating's position is in the left foreground.
