On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) in No. 3 Basin in Chatham Dockyard, Kent. The photographer is in the lower bridge between 52 and 56 stations on 02 deck looking forward and to port from the centreline at 55½ station showing a communications desk equipped with two telephones, two microphones, a morse key and a voice control unit. A siren control panel is between the desk and the door. A telephone switchboard and desk are on the right against the port side of the upper bridge platform. A swivel pedestal chair is in the middle of the space, also on the right of the picture. A signal projector in the port bridge wing has a prancing horse logo fixed to the rear of it.
