On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the fitting out berth at the West Cowes shipyard of John Samuel White & Co Ltd. The photographer is in the operations room between 30⅓ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to port from the starboard side at 34 station showing the captain's chair facing a visual display unit in the centre of the room. This unit is fitted with a visor assembly. On the right are a mortar control panel and a ship's speed recorder. Two telephones are fitted under the deckhead. On the left is the radio warfare desk with the radio warfare state board and a telephone switchboard against the back screen.
