On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the fitting out berth at the West Cowes shipyard of John Samuel White & Co Ltd. The photographer is in the operations room between 30⅓ and 35½ stations on 1 deck and is said to looking forward but he is actually looking aft and to starboard from 32 station on the port side. The port ARL table and the back of a visual display unit are on the right and beyond the ARL table is the captain's chair facing a visual display unit fitted with a visor assembly. A fleet disposition board is against the aft bulkhead. A fleet state board is on the left with a foam fire extinguisher in the foreground.
