The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 31 and 35½ stations on 3 deck showing the 12 volt battery stowage and two motor generators in the left foreground. Two dual output motor generators, a director metadyne and a small motor generator are fixed to the deck on the port side of the room The door to the compartment is on the extreme left in the port bulkhead and next to it are the dual motor generators starters and four auto voltage regulators. Against the forward bulkhead are excitation units for the dual output generators, power and fuse panels and a transformer.
