On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the fitting out berth at the West Cowes shipyard of John Samuel White & Co Ltd. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, outside the crew's servery between 41 and 48 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 40 station showing the servery with the roller shutter open and with six Lowerator plate dispensers in front of the counter. On the left is a large steam kettle. Against the aft lobby bulkhead are an emergency change over switch and connection box and a fuse panel. On the right are two breathing apparatus cabinets.
