On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the torpedo maintenance compartment between 54¼ and 57 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking aft and to port from the doorway showing a fire extinguisher against the aft bulkhead next to the watertight door. On the port side are racks containing a Mark 44 servicing trolley, a loading trolley, breakaway bands, boxes of parachutes and supplementary chests.
