On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the torpedo stowage compartment between 51¾ and 54¼ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to port showing racks for Mark 44 torpedoes with two depth charge stretchers above. Against the forward bulkhead are stowage brackets for lower extension rails, portable extension rails, D.C. connecting band securing rods, stopper for railway, adaptors for No. 2 trolley, portable tie bar and securing bands for bombs. A steel wire and wood rung ladder leads up to an escape hatch.
