On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the air electrical maintenance room between 50 and 54 stations on the starboard side of 01 deck looking aft showing a workbench with cupboards under and shelves above against the starboard bulhead. The bench is equipped with a vice. Against the aft bulkhead are two electric fires, a Thermotank air conditioning unit, a very small combination safe and an automatic emergency lantern next to an escape hatch. A workbench with shelves and drawers under and shelves above is against the port bulkhead. Four tubular steel chairs are in the room.
