On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the junior rates dining hall between 52 and 56 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to port. Tables and bench seats are set athwartships and the table tops are covered. An electric fire is against the aft bulkhead. A cold drinks dispensing machine is outside the servery and a cold water drinking fountain is next to it.
