On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the senior rates dining hall between 49 and 52 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard and aft. Tables are set athwartships and the table tops and chairs are covered for protection. An air conditioning unit is against the ship's side. Workers' materials including a rope and pulley, a tin drum, a waste bucket, a paint pot and two industral vacuum cleaners with hoses are in the hall.
