On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to port and slightly forward from near the centreline at 33½ station showing a plotting table with drawers under and the gun direction position beyond. A fire extinguisher and a telephone are fitted to the side of the plotting table.
